スバシタ・サングラハ 第３巻より
パラマートマー(※1)、あるいはサグナ・ブランマ(※2)は始まりもなく終わりもない、途切れることのない流れです。［彼］はまた霊的な実体(エッセンス)または流れを成す広大な海なのです。 あなたは、あなたの限りある知性では、この海のすべてを隈なく見ることも理解することもできないのです。あなたはただ［彼］が表現する有限な実体の一部を代わるがわる一時的に受け取るだけなのです。そうした個々の実体はブランマ(※3)のすべてではないのです。
［彼］は始まりのない存在であり、そして［彼］の姿形は数限りなく、広大無辺に拡がるのです。［彼］に到達するためには、始まりもなく終わりもない状態になければなりません。その様になるためにあなたに開かれている唯一の道は、あなたの取るに足りない「私」というちっぽけな存在を、その偉大なる［私］の中に溶け込ませることなのです。その様な状態にあってのみあなたは［彼］特有の真我を知るのです。そして全てを見通し、全てを聞き取る［彼］特有の真我に、あなたの内なる知性の力を借りて到達するのです。それはつまり、あなたの元来の個性もしくは深い性質の中に潜んでいたあなたの本当の存在を悟るということなのです。
常に覚えておきなさい。「私」がいるところには［彼］はおらず、 ［彼］がいるところには「私」はいないのだ、ということを。

Where ‘I’ is, ‘He’ is not
Where ‘I’ is, ‘He’ is not ” PARAMA’TMA’ or SAGUN’A BRAHMA is a biginningless, endless, continuous flow. He is also the Super-Ocean of essences or flows. You, with your limited intellect, cannot see or apprehend this Ocean in its entirety. You only temporarily receive one the other of His limited unit-manifestations…You know, such a unit entity is not the whole BRAHMA. He is beginningless and His forms are countless and expansive. To attain Him you have to become beginningless and endless, and the only way open for you to be so is to merge your insignificant “I” in that Great “I”. It is only in such a condition that you will know His characteristic Self, attain clairvoyance and clairaudience of His Characteristic Self with the help of your inner Intellect – That is to say, you will recognize your real entity in your original seity or selfhood. Always remember, “Where ‘I’ is, ‘He’ is not ; Where ‘He’ is, ‘I’ is not”.
